Patterned Concrete

The water provider for this customer identified a leak under the customers patterned concrete driveway, quantified at 0.5m3 (500 litre per hour). The customer didn’t want the driveway digging up and ruining the uniform pattern of the driveway, so he called us. We obtained a permit to dig in the highway and dug twice more in the garage, then moled under the driveway replacing and rerouting the whole supply without damaging the driveway. We also used an insuduct breaker box fitted in the garage to avoid the need to dig a hole inside his kitchen, keeping the mess to a minimum with two small concrete patches and a tarmac patch in the highway.

Leak Under Property

The customer at this property had a leak identified under their house and were worried about the disruption to their newly fitted kitchen and decorated house. We re-routed the supply from the point of entry at the front of the house and moled through the garage and created a new point of entry at the rear. Using an insuduct box were able to avoid disrupting the décor of the new kitchen and bypassed the leak under the property. We also refitted the customers existing garden tap in the garage as part of the service.

New Supply

We received a call from a customer frustrated by poor flow at the property. United Utilities had already renewed the pipe from the main to the boundary and proved there was good enough pressure and flow being provided to this point. We renewed 30m of lead pipes across the lawn using the moling method, keeping the excavations and mess to a minimum. The customers flow increased from 6lpm to 27lpm and our work was complete, allowing the customer to install the new shower they had bought earlier in the year.
